Brent Morris, a neighbor is one of the most original people I have ever known. While the confernece center was being built, he went to the quarry where they were cutting the granite (same quarry used for the SLC Temple) and bought some of the left over pieces. The two pieces he is pointing to are located in his front yard. They are positioned at exactly the right angle so on the longest day of the year, the sun shines through the small slit at sunrise. Each year, he has a ward party at sunrise and everyone gets to see this event.

Now that is pretty cool if you ask me. Who except some of the ancient cultures would ever think of that? Way to go Brent!
